Precautions

This medication is for topical use on the skin and should not be used on certain patients or areas. First, individuals who have had allergies or hypersensitivity to this medication should not use it. Patients with diabetes or blood circulation issues should also avoid this medication. It should never be applied around the eyes, mouth, nose, or on mucous membrane areas, nor on infected, inflamed, or red and irritated skin. Additionally, this medication should not be applied to birthmarks, warts, hairy warts, or genital warts. When using this medication, individuals who have had allergic reactions, particularly those with a history of skin rashes or itching, or dermatitis due to poison ivy, should use with caution. It should be used very carefully in infants or young children, and patients with poor kidney function should avoid prolonged use over large areas of skin. If side effects such as rashes, redness, or itching occur during use, discontinue immediately. Prolonged excessive use may lead to dermatitis or skin ulcers; caution should be exercised. Skin irritation can also occur when it comes in contact with normal skin, so if such symptoms arise, usage should cease. Rarely, skin irritation or contact allergic reactions may occur. This medication must be used according to the prescribed dosage and administration; if symptoms do not improve after repeated use, consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is necessary. Treat any pustular dermatitis or areas that are wet or macerated before using this medication. Care must be taken as the medication may dissolve when submerged in water. Using on extensive areas can increase the likelihood of side effects. If accidentally ingested, consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately. When used on children, it should be used under the supervision of a guardian. This medication may interact with other drugs. In particular, using it with methotrexate can increase toxicity, and using it with sulfonylureas can further lower blood sugar levels. Additionally, this medication may enhance the absorption of other topical medicines, so caution is warranted. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully weigh the risks and benefits of using this medication, as there have been reports of teratogenicity in animal studies. This medication can also be excreted in breast milk, but the effects on infants are not yet known. Breastfeeding women should not apply this medication to their breast area. Children and infants may experience side effects more readily, so widespread or prolonged use should be avoided. This medication is for external use only on the skin and care should be taken to avoid contact with mucous membranes such as the eyes, nose, and mouth. If it accidentally enters the eye, rinse thoroughly with clean water and follow the doctor's instructions. Care should be taken to avoid skin contact outside of the treatment area. When storing, keep in a place out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool place. It is also advisable not to transfer it to another container to maintain quality.
