This medication is effective for the treatment of athlete's foot, jock itch, and body tinea caused by skin fungi such as Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton. It is also used for tinea versicolor caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare, as well as cutaneous candidiasis. It helps improve various fungal infections caused by dermatophytes and yeast.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply to the affected area (lesion) 1 to 2 times a day. The treatment duration varies depending on the condition as follows: 1. Athlete's foot: once a day for 1 week Interdigital athlete's foot: twice a day for 1 week Plantar athlete's foot: twice a day for 2 weeks 2. Body tinea, jock itch: 1 to 2 weeks 3. Cutaneous candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks 4. Tinea versicolor: 2 weeks

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who have had an allergic reaction to this drug or any of its components. It is advisable for pregnant women, those who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers to avoid using this medication. Additionally, it is recommended that this medication not be used in children. If a rash or allergic reaction occurs while using this medication, stop immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. If skin irritation worsens or symptoms such as itching, red spots, hives, or peeling skin occur, seek professional help right away. When using this medication, do not use any occlusive dressing or packaging methods without a doctor's instructions. If symptoms do not improve with this medication, tests to confirm the presence of a fungal infection should be performed, and alternative treatments should be considered if necessary. It is advisable to avoid using acidic soaps if Candida infection is suspected. While this medication is rarely absorbed significantly by skin, caution is needed when applying it to open wounds, large areas, or infants, as systemic effects may occur. If ingested accidentally, activated charcoal should be used to remove the active ingredient, and treatment should be provided according to the symptoms if necessary. This medication is for topical use only and should not be applied to the eyes or mucosal areas. If it gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, as there is a risk of eye irritation or worsening of infections. It is safe not to apply this medication to the nails, scalp, mouth area, or vaginal area. There have been reports of slight skin reactions from light exposure in animal studies; therefore, caution may be needed when exposed to sunlight. Keep this medication out of reach of children and store it tightly in its original container to avoid misuse or quality degradation when transferred to other containers.
