This medication is used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and degenerative joint diseases such as osteoarthritis. It is also effective for relieving fever and pain caused by colds, back pain, dysmenorrhea, and postoperative pain. Additionally, it is applicable for conditions such as ankylosing spondylitis, headaches, toothaches, muscle pain, neuralgia, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis, soft tissue injuries like sprains or bruises, and various non-articular rheumatic conditions. Overall, it helps in relieving various inflammations and pain, improving the symptoms experienced by patients.

How to take

Adult dose

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, non-articular rheumatic diseases, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis: 200-600mg per dose, taken orally 3-4 times a day, with a maximum of 3200mg per day. Precautions

This medication should be consulted with a doctor or pharmacist if consumed by individuals who regularly drink more than three glasses of alcohol per day, as there is a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Individuals with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should be cautious as taking this medication could lead to serious cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal problems, including bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, especially in older adults or those taking it for long periods. Individuals with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, as well as those with severe liver, kidney, or heart conditions, should not take this medication. People with allergies to the ingredients of this drug or a history of asthma should also avoid taking it. It should not be used during late pregnancy as it may harm the fetus. This medication should be taken for the shortest time possible at the minimum effective dose, and regular blood tests and liver function tests should be carried out if taken long-term. In case of overdose, severe symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, kidney failure, and difficulty breathing may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. Keep out of reach of children and store in the original container to prevent misuse or quality deterioration.

Interactions

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken with high doses of methotrexate. Do not take with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking with low-dose aspirin, ACE inhibitors, lithium, furosemide and thiazide diuretics, methotrexate, coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin), or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).

This medication is sensitive to light, so it should be stored in a light-protected, tightly sealed container. The storage temperature should ideally be maintained between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
