This medication is primarily used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease). It is also effective for relief of fever and pain associated with colds, low back pain, dysmenorrhea, and post-surgical pain. In addition, it is used for various pain and inflammatory disorders, including ankylosing spondylitis, acute headache and dental pain, muscle pain, neuralgia, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis, soft tissue injuries (sprains and strains), and non-articular rheumatic diseases such as tendinitis, tenosynovitis, and bursitis. This drug helps relieve pain and inflammation, improving the quality of life for patients. Therefore, it is widely used in the treatment of various joint and soft tissue disorders.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, non-articular rheumatic diseases, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis: Take 200 to 600 mg orally once, 3 to 4 times a day. Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if the patient consumes alcohol frequently, more than three glasses a day, as it may cause gastrointestinal bleeding. Do not exceed the recommended dosage while taking this medication and avoid taking it in conjunction with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. If nursing, considerations should be made to stop breastfeeding or the use of this medication, as it may pass into breast milk and affect the baby. Those with hematologic abnormalities, liver or kidney diseases, heart problems, hypertension, elderly, pregnant, or breastfeeding individuals must consult with healthcare professionals before use. This medication may interact with other drugs, so individuals taking antihypertensives, anticoagulants, antidepressants, etc., should consult a doctor. Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness, severe allergic reaction, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mouth/eye mucosa, severe skin adverse reaction, asthma attack, respiratory distress, breathing problems accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), general malaise, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion of consciousness, vision changes

Mild side effects

Headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dyspepsia, stomatitis, skin rash, itching, fatigue, fever, changes in blood pressure (low blood pressure, hypertension), palpitations, facial swelling, swelling around the eyes, nosebleeds

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, low-dose aspirin, or high-dose methotrexate. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if taking together with ACE inhibitors, lithium, furosemide and thiazide diuretics, coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin), or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.
