As Donepezil Hydrochloride, administer 5 mg once daily before bedtime. For 4 to 6 weeks, a dose of 5 mg is administered, and after evaluating clinical response, the dose may be increased to 10 mg. When increasing to 10 mg per day, care should be taken regarding gastrointestinal side effects. For underweight female patients aged 85 years or older, the dose should not exceed 5 mg per day.
There is no experience regarding usage in pediatric patients.

This drug is not approved for the treatment of other types of dementia or memory disorders other than Alzheimer's disease, and treatment should be conducted under the supervision of an experienced physician. The therapeutic effect should be regularly evaluated, and if there is no effect, discontinuation should be considered. Patients with cardiovascular diseases, especially those with a history of QT interval prolongation or those taking related medications, need heart monitoring. Caution is required as it may affect the ability to drive or operate machinery, and dizziness or muscle cramps may occur during dose increases. This drug is mainly metabolized in the liver, so patients with impaired liver function should also use it with caution. This drug may interact with other medications, so caution is advised when used in conjunction with medications related to CYP3A4 or CYP2D6, muscle relaxants, anticholinergic drugs, heart medications, and anti-inflammatory pain relievers.
