Vitamin D is particularly important to be supplemented appropriately during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in childhood, and in old age. This vitamin helps in the healthy development of bones and teeth and plays a role in preventing bone disorders like rickets. It also helps to improve calcium deficiency, maintaining calcium balance in the body. Therefore, adequate supply of Vitamin D and calcium is effective in maintaining bone health and supporting growth.
