Adult dose
This medication can be taken regardless of meals, but it is recommended to take it at the same time every day. For hypertension treatment, an oral dose of 50 mg of Losartan Potassium once daily is recommended, and if the treatment effect is insufficient, it may be divided into two doses or increased up to 100 mg once daily if necessary. For patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy, the initial dose is 50 mg once daily, and doses may be increased based on blood pressure.
Child dose
For children and adolescents aged 6 years and older weighing 20 kg or more but less than 50 kg, a dose of 25 mg once daily is recommended, with a maximum increase to 50 mg once daily based on blood pressure response.

Therefore, it is effectively used in the prevention and treatment of various complications associated with hypertension.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication can be taken regardless of meals, but it is recommended to take it at the same time every day. For hypertension treatment, an oral dose of 50 mg of Losartan Potassium once daily is recommended, and if the treatment effect is insufficient, it may be divided into two doses or increased up to 100 mg once daily if necessary. For patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy, the initial dose is 50 mg once daily, and doses may be increased based on blood pressure.

Child dose

For children and adolescents aged 6 years and older weighing 20 kg or more but less than 50 kg, a dose of 25 mg once daily is recommended, with a maximum increase to 50 mg once daily based on blood pressure response.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Women of childbearing potential should not take this medication, especially during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, as it is particularly dangerous. This medication should not be administered to patients with certain allergic reactions, severe liver dysfunction, or a history of angioedema.
