Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with certain skin infections. For example, it should be avoided if there are bacterial, fungal, viral infections, or infections caused by animals, as symptoms may worsen. Also, patients who are allergic or sensitive to this drug or its components should not use it. Patients with otitis externa and tympanic membrane perforation, ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite should also be cautious when using this drug, as skin healing may be delayed. This drug is also not suitable for patients with untreated skin infections, perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, diaper rash, pruritus ani and pruritus of the genital area. It should not be used in infants less than 3 months old. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, breastfeeding mothers, children over 3 months old, and the elderly should be particularly cautious when using this drug. The use of this drug may lead to skin infections and various skin side effects such as folliculitis, skin irritation, itching, and rash. With long-term use, serious side effects such as skin thinning, pigmentation changes, and skin bleeding may occur, so caution is required. Furthermore, if this drug is used extensively or under occlusive dressings, it can affect the whole body and lead to endocrine side effects such as adrenal suppression or Cushing's syndrome. It should not be used around the eyes, as it may increase intraocular pressure or risk of glaucoma. In principle, it should not be used for eczema or dermatitis with accompanying skin infections, but if unavoidable, it should be used with antibiotics or antifungals. This medicine can be systemically absorbed, leading to symptoms such as adrenal suppression, hyperglycemia, and diabetes, so regular check-ups may be necessary. If symptoms do not improve or worsen, use should be stopped immediately, and medical advice should be sought. It is not recommended to use it daily for more than 4 weeks, especially during psoriasis treatment where the risk of side effects may be higher. If used on the face for an extended period, there may be alterations in atopic skin, so it should be used cautiously. This drug poses a fire risk, so it is advised to refrain from smoking during use and avoid contact with clothing or bedding. It may interact with other drugs, so it is important to consult a doctor, especially when using it with specific antifungals or antivirals. During pregnancy, there may be risks to the fetus, so only minimal amounts should be used when absolutely necessary, and it should not be applied to the breast area while breastfeeding. In children, the risk of side effects is higher, so use should be avoided as much as possible, and if necessary, it should be used at minimal amounts for a short duration. The elderly also face a higher risk of side effects, so careful observation is needed when used in large quantities or for long periods. Overuse may lead to adrenal dysfunction, so the amount used should be managed, and sudden discontinuation should be avoided. This medicine should not be used for ophthalmic purposes and should not be used outside of intended treatment purposes such as after cosmetics or shaving. The use of occlusive dressings must be under the supervision of a doctor, and the affected area should always be kept clean. It should be stored out of reach of children and care should be taken not to use it excessively over large areas of skin.
