This medication is primarily used for the treatment of essential hypertension. It is effective for patients whose blood pressure cannot be controlled by a single drug and is used as initial treatment in combination with other agents to reach target blood pressure in patients with moderate or severe (stage 2) hypertension. In other words, it helps manage blood pressure and contributes to the prevention of cardiovascular complications.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered once daily without regard to meals. 1. For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy: - Administer 1 tablet of Irbesartan 150 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily. - Administer 1 tablet of Irbesartan 300 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily. - Administer 1 tablet of Irbesartan 300 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg once daily.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established for pediatric patients and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Precautions

This medication can cause severe harm to the fetus or newborn if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Women who are pregnant, potentially pregnant, or breastfeeding should not take this medication. Patients who have an allergy to this medication or its ingredients or have very poor kidney function should also not take it.
