How to take

Adult dose

The recommended adult dose is 1 tablet of Valsartan 80 mg / Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily, taken with a small amount of water regardless of meals. Valsartan 160 mg / Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg is used when prescribed for blood pressure reduction. Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to this medication or its ingredients, severe liver impairment, or kidney impairment should not take it. Patients with electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, weak kidney or liver function, the elderly, and those with heart diseases should exercise caution when taking this medication. This medication lowers blood pressure and may cause dizziness or hypotension; therefore, caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Since it may affect potassium levels, potassium supplements or potassium-containing medications should not be taken without consulting a doctor. During treatment with this medication, it is important to regularly check kidney function and electrolyte status through blood tests. The hydrochlorothiazide component may cause sensitivity to sunlight, increasing the risk of skin cancer, so exposure to sunlight should be minimized and skin condition should be checked periodically. This medication can interact with other medications; patients should consult their doctor particularly when taking lithium, NSAIDs, or potassium-sparing diuretics. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or electrolyte imbalances may occur, requiring immediate contact with a medical institution. Children, pregnant women, and nursing mothers should not take this medication as its safety has not been established. Store the medication out of the reach of children, away from moisture and direct sunlight, and in its original container.
