Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be administered to women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. It is also not safe to use in patients with severe liver impairment, cirrhosis, or biliary obstruction. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or similar medications in the past, or patients with hereditary angioedema should not be treated with it. Patients with very poor kidney function or certain kidney diseases should also use caution, and it should not be administered to some kidney disease patients. For diabetic patients with moderate to severe deterioration of kidney function, it should not be used in combination with certain other medications. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should avoid taking it. Elderly patients or those with high blood potassium levels, or patients with mild to moderate liver impairment should start at a low dose and be closely monitored. Patients with heart valve disease or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, ischemic heart disease, or cerebrovascular disorders should also be careful to avoid excessive drops in blood pressure. This medication can cause hypotension when first administered, so special caution is needed for patients who are especially low in fluid or sodium, and proper action should be taken if hypotension symptoms occur. Care should also be taken when administering this medication to patients undergoing dialysis or those with strict salt restrictions, and those who are within 24 hours before surgery. Caution is required as the combination with other antihypertensives, diuretics, or potassium-sparing diuretics may increase blood potassium levels. Taking this medication with NSAIDs can reduce the antihypertensive effect or worsen kidney function, so caution is necessary. When taken with lithium preparations, lithium levels can increase, leading to toxicity, so serum levels should be regularly monitored. This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness when driving or operating machinery, so caution is needed. In case of overdose, severe hypotension, loss of consciousness, shock, etc. may occur, and emergency treatment should be sought immediately. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to other containers for safety.
