Adult dose

For Amlodipine (Escitalopram), the recommended initial dosage is 5 (2.5) mg orally once daily, which can be increased to a maximum of 10 (5) mg as per the patient's response. Atorvastatin is recommended at an initial dosage of 10 mg once daily, and if further LDL cholesterol reduction is needed, it can be started at 20 mg or 40 mg once daily. Atorvastatin can be dosed from 10 mg to 80 mg once daily.

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For example, patients who are allergic to this drug or similar medications, those with severely impaired liver function, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with muscular disorders, and patients with severe heart conditions or in shock should not take this medication. Additionally, patients with severely impaired kidney function, the elderly, excessive alcohol consumption, or a history of liver disease should use this medication with caution. Especially, those at risk of muscle-related symptoms should undergo muscle-related tests before administration and be carefully monitored. This medication is generally well tolerated, but some patients may experience side effects such as facial flushing, fatigue, edema, palpitations, dizziness, headaches, digestive disturbances, and others due to vasodilation. Rarely, muscle pain, liver dysfunction, and allergic reactions may occur, so any unusual symptoms should be reported to healthcare professionals immediately. During the use of this medication, regular liver function tests should be conducted, and if symptoms of hepatitis or jaundice appear, this medication should be discontinued immediately. Additionally, if symptoms such as muscle pain, weakness, or fatigue occur, they should be reported immediately, and in severe cases, medication should be stopped. Women of childbearing potential should use appropriate contraception while taking this medication, and if pregnancy is confirmed, they should discontinue use immediately. Breastfeeding women should also avoid taking this medication. This medication has many drug interactions, so if you are taking other medications, you must inform your doctor or pharmacist. Care is especially needed when taken with certain antibiotics, antifungals, immunosuppressants, and HIV treatments. In case of overdose, severe drops in blood pressure or abnormal heart rhythms may occur, necessitating immediate emergency treatment. Finally, keep this medication out of the reach of children and be careful not to transfer it to other containers.
