Precautions

This medication can be dangerous if swallowed or chewed by children or pets, so it should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children and pets and disposed of properly. Using this medication on too large an area or for more than 12 hours a day may increase the amount of medication absorbed into the body, leading to serious side effects. People with allergies to this medication or similar local anesthetics should not use it. This medication contains ingredients that may cause allergic reactions, so individuals with asthma or those sensitive to allergies should take special precautions. Skin reactions, such as blisters, swelling, itching, or dermatitis, may occur at the site where this medication is applied, but most are temporary and mild symptoms. Severe allergic reactions can occur rarely, so if symptoms such as difficulty breathing or severe hives arise, immediate medical attention should be sought. When used properly, systemic side effects are minimal; however, dizziness, drowsiness, headaches, and vomiting can occur rarely. Patients with severe liver dysfunction may have a reduced ability to metabolize this medication, leading to a higher risk of side effects due to accumulation in the body. It is advisable not to use it on damaged or infected skin and to avoid contact with the eyes. If it gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water. When using this medication with other local anesthetics or certain antiarrhythmic drugs, caution should be exercised to reduce the risk of side effects considering the total amount of medication absorbed. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, it should only be used when necessary and under the guidance of a healthcare professional. The safety and efficacy in children have not been sufficiently established, so it should be used cautiously in pediatric patients. In case of overdose, blood drug concentrations should be monitored, symptoms carefully observed, and appropriate treatment obtained. After using this medication, wash hands thoroughly, and properly dispose of used patches in a way that children and pets cannot access them. Some ingredients in this medication can rarely cause allergic reactions, so patients with a history of allergies to such substances should take precautions.
