This medication is prescribed for patients who need to take the two components, amlodipine and atorvastatin, simultaneously. Amlodipine treats hypertension and angina, particularly myocardial ischemia caused by stable and variant angina. It helps reduce the risk of angina or vascular procedures in patients with coronary artery disease. Atorvastatin reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and lowers levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, thereby improving vascular health. Additionally, it has the effect of lowering the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke in patients with diabetes or coronary heart disease. This medicine is also beneficial for patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, used to overall improve cardiovascular health.
