How to take

Adult dose

Take one tablet containing Valsartan 80 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily, with or without food and with a small amount of water. For the 160 mg Valsartan/12.5 mg Hydrochlorothiazide combination, it is prescribed for blood pressure reduction. Dosage adjustments are not necessary for patients with mild to moderate kidney impairment. For liver impairment patients without biliary obstruction, Valsartan should not exceed 80 mg daily.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus, especially when taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so if pregnancy is confirmed, it should be discontinued immediately. This medication should not be taken by individuals with allergies to certain components or those with severe liver dysfunction or severe kidney impairment. Patients with compromised kidney or liver function, electrolyte imbalances, elderly patients, and those with heart disease should use this medication with caution. This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness, so care should be taken while driving or operating machinery. Potassium supplements or potassium-containing medications should not be taken without consulting a doctor, and potassium levels in the blood should be monitored regularly.
