How to take

Adult dose

The recommended adult dose is 80 mg of valsartan/12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide once daily, which can be taken with or without food and should be taken with a small amount of water. 160 mg of valsartan/12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide is applicable when prescribed for blood pressure lowering. Dose adjustment is not needed for patients with mild to moderate renal impairment.

Precautions

This medication can cause severe harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially during the second and third trimesters. If pregnancy is confirmed, you must stop taking it immediately.
