View approved original text

Cialis is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and requires sexual stimulation to work. However, it is not for use by women. Additionally, Cialis helps relieve the symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia. It is used to improve both symptoms when erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia coexist. Due to these features, Cialis is effective for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and symptoms related to prostatic hyperplasia in men.

Precautions

This medication is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia and requires appropriate evaluation by a specialist before use. Sexual activity can put a strain on the heart, so patients with cardiovascular disease should consult with a physician. If an erection lasts more than 4 hours, contact a medical professional immediately, as untreated prolonged erection can result in penile tissue damage and permanent erectile dysfunction. This medicine should never be taken together with nitrate preparations or nitric oxide donors, as it can cause blood pressure to drop to dangerous levels. Patients with serious cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction, angina, or stroke should not take this medication. It may affect sperm formation, so long-term use should be discussed with a physician. Patients with certain heart conditions may be sensitive to the drug’s vasodilatory effects, requiring caution. Patients taking organic nitrate preparations or those for whom sexual activity is contraindicated due to heart problems should not take this medication. Patients with hereditary retinal diseases or allergies to the ingredients of this medication are also prohibited from use. The safety of using this drug with other erectile dysfunction treatments has not been established and is not recommended. Patients with lactose intolerance should avoid this medication. This drug should be used cautiously in patients with penile deformities or certain blood disorders. Patients with serious renal or hepatic dysfunction require dosage adjustment and careful administration. Taking it with antihypertensive drugs may intensify blood pressure lowering, so consult with a doctor. Caution is especially required when combined with alpha-blockers due to the risk of hypotension. Taking it with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors can increase drug levels in the blood, requiring dosage adjustments. This medication is not for use by pregnant women or children. There is no special effect when driving or operating machinery, but it is advisable to check your own condition after taking. In the case of overdose, standard treatment should be given, as blood dialysis is ineffective at removing this drug. Store it out of reach of children and keep it in its original packaging to avoid exposure to air or moisture.
