Precautions

This medicine may occasionally cause hypersensitivity reactions such as rashes or itching on the skin. If such symptoms occur, usage should be stopped immediately. Additionally, this medicine should not be mixed with other disinfectants, as mixing may reduce effectiveness or cause side effects. Urine tests taken from catheters cleaned with this remedy may yield false positive results for specific protein tests. Therefore, this must be communicated to the medical staff during testing. If this medicine comes into contact with the eyes, the eyes and eyelids should be rinsed thoroughly with clean water for more than 15 minutes. Appropriate medical treatment should be sought immediately. If this medicine is accidentally ingested, the mouth should be rinsed thoroughly with water, and water or milk should be consumed. Do not induce vomiting and seek medical attention immediately. This medicine should only be used for topical application and should be used at a lower concentration on inflamed or sensitive areas. When used on deep wounds or near the eyes, sterile water must be used, and tap water or regular distilled water should be avoided for safety. During use, care must be taken to avoid any concentrated solution from entering the eyes; if this occurs, rinse immediately with clean water. When using concentrated solutions, precautions are necessary as skin or mucosal irritation may occur. Prolonged use or application over large areas on mucosal surfaces or wound sites should be avoided, as this may lead to systemic side effects such as muscle weakness due to drug absorption. Before using this medicine, it should be thoroughly washed with soap since residual soap may reduce its disinfecting ability. When soaking metal instruments for long periods, a solution containing sodium nitrite should be used to prevent corrosion. However, copper products should not be soaked for long periods, even with sodium nitrite, as it will not prevent corrosion. The appearance or concentration of this medicine may change slightly during storage, and if stored in a cold place, the solution may become cloudy. However, these changes do not affect the sterilizing effect, and it will return to being clear when warmed.
