Precautions

This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. The rhubarb component included in this medication can cause uterine contractions, increasing the risk of miscarriage or preterm labor. Furthermore, breastfeeding women should also avoid taking this medication. The ingredients in rhubarb can be transmitted through breast milk, potentially causing diarrhea in the infant. Individuals with lactose intolerance or specific genetic lactose breakdown disorders should avoid this medication as it contains lactose, which may worsen symptoms. While taking this medication, do not take other antidiarrheal or laxative agents together. Concurrent use may lead to side effects or health issues. Those with hypertension, heart or kidney diseases, edema, elderly patients, and those taking other medications must consult a healthcare professional before using this medication, as it may exacerbate symptoms or have interactions. Consult a healthcare professional if you have a weak stomach, loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting, as this medication may worsen symptoms. If unusual symptoms such as facial or limb swelling, increased blood pressure, muscle weakness, skin rash, insomnia, excessive sweating, urination problems, or liver function abnormalities occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If constipation persists for more than a week or symptoms do not improve, it is advisable to stop taking this medication and consult for guidance. This medication is ideally not for long-term use; if necessary, consult a healthcare professional to determine dose adjustments or the duration of use. Also, when used in conjunction with other herbal medications or specific drugs, be cautious of ingredient overlaps and interactions, especially when used with medications containing rhubarb, ephedra, or licorice. When storing, keep it in a sealed container away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children. Transferring the medication to another container can result in quality degradation or accidents, so it must be stored in the original container.
