Treatment of allergic skin diseases such as urticaria and eczema, and improvement of liver function in chronic liver disease
This medication is effective for allergic skin diseases like urticaria and eczema and is used as an adjunctive therapy for patients with drug intoxication. Additionally, it helps improve liver function in patients with chronic liver disease. It is a useful drug for managing both skin conditions and liver health.
Adults: Administer 2-20 mL intravenously once a day. For chronic liver disease, administer 40-60 mL once a day via intravenous or drip intravenous injection. In cases of dose escalation, do not exceed 100 mL per day. Adjust based on age and symptoms.
This drug is in ampoule form, and care should be taken when cutting the container, as glass fragments may enter; therefore, it must be cut carefully to avoid mixing in glass debris. Extra caution is necessary when used in children or the elderly. The drug should not be administered to patients with allergies to it or specific conditions such as hyperaldosteronism, muscular lesions, or hypokalemia since it may exacerbate hypokalemia. Elderly patients should be used with caution due to a higher likelihood of developing hypokalemia. Also, this drug contains sodium bisulfite, which may cause allergies or asthma attacks, so asthmatic patients should pay particular attention. During administration, shock or anaphylactic reactions may occur, so patients should be monitored closely, and if any unusual symptoms arise, administration must be stopped immediately, and appropriate action should be taken. Long-term use or increasing the dosage can lead to hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, fluid retention, edema, weight gain, etc., so serum potassium levels should be checked frequently. It is advisable not to use this drug in conjunction with other medications containing licorice, as overlapping licorice components can exacerbate side effects. Using specific diuretics concurrently may increase potassium excretion and pose a risk of hypokalemia, so serum potassium levels should be regularly monitored with caution. For pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, the safety of this drug has not been established; it should be administered cautiously only if absolutely necessary. When administered intravenously, vascular pain may occur; thus, the injection speed should be adjusted slowly while monitoring the patient's condition. This drug should be stored out of reach of children, and it is safest to keep it in the original container without transferring it to other containers. Lastly, it should be noted that rhabdomyolysis has been rarely reported when taken with other drugs containing licorice, so caution is warranted.
Anaphylactic shock (hypotension, loss of consciousness, respiratory distress, cardiac arrest, flushing, facial swelling), respiratory distress, asthma attack
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a sealed container to prevent air or moisture from entering. The appropriate storage temperature is room temperature between 1°C and 30°C. Proper storage will help maintain the drug's effectiveness.
