Summary

Main use
Relief of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain
Who takes it
Adults
Adult dose
Children over 12 years and adults: The dosage should be adjusted according to the patient's level of pain and response to treatment. An initial dose of 2 tablets is recommended, and thereafter the interval between doses should be at least 6 hours, not exceeding 8 tablets in a day. Administer the effective minimum dose for the shortest time possible. Avoid using this medication for a longer duration than necessary, and if long-term use is required due to the nature and severity of the condition, conduct regular monitoring to confirm the continuous use of this medication. Elderly Administer the typical adult dosage. However, in the case of elderly patients over 75 years old, oral administration of tramadol has shown a 17% increase in the elimination half-life, so doses should be given with a minimum interval of 6 hours. Renal impairment patients For moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance of 10-30 ml/min), extend the dosing interval to 12 hours. Severe renal impairment patients (creatinine clearance of less than 10 ml/min) should not be administered this medication. Tramadol is removed very slowly during hemodialysis and filtration, so there is no need to re-administer this medication after dialysis to maintain analgesic effect. Hepatic impairment patients For patients with moderate hepatic impairment, it is advisable to consider extending the dosing interval carefully. Do not administer this medication to patients with severe hepatic impairment.
