Summary

Main use
Relief of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain
Who takes it
Adults · Children
Adult dose
Children aged 12 and older and adults: The dosage should be adjusted according to the patient's level of pain and therapeutic response. It is recommended to administer an initial dose of 4 tablets, with subsequent doses taken at intervals of at least 6 hours, but not exceeding 16 tablets per day. Administer the effective lowest dose for the shortest duration possible. Do not prescribe this medication for longer than necessary, and if prolonged treatment is needed due to the nature and severity of the disease, regular monitoring should be conducted to determine whether continued administration of the medication is warranted. Elderly: Standard adult dosages should be administered, but for elderly patients over 75 years old, oral administration of tramadol may increase the elimination half-life by 17%, so this medication should be given at intervals of at least 6 hours. Renal impairment: For patients with moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance 10-30 ml/min), the dosing interval should be extended to 12 hours. For patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min), administration of this medication is not recommended. Tramadol is eliminated very slowly during hemodialysis and filtration, so there is no need to readminister this medication to maintain analgesic effects post-dialysis. Hepatic impairment: For patients with moderate hepatic impairment, it should be considered carefully to extend the dosing interval. Administration of this medication is not recommended for patients with severe hepatic impairment.
