This medication may put a strain on the liver, so individuals who consume more than three glasses of alcohol regularly should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. This medication can rarely cause serious skin reactions; if rashes or allergic symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. The active ingredient tramadol may increase the risk of seizures, so patients with a history of seizures or those at risk should be particularly cautious. Co-administration of tramadol with certain antidepressants or other central nervous system depressants may increase seizure risk, necessitating caution when used together. For patients with acute bronchial asthma, this medication poses a risk of respiratory depression and should only be administered in a professionally monitored setting. Combining this medication with alcohol or central nervous system depressants like benzodiazepines can lead to severe sedation, respiratory depression, or coma; therefore, such combinations should be avoided unless absolutely necessary and for the shortest duration at the minimum effective dose. Patients with head injuries or brain disorders should exercise caution as this medication may increase intracranial pressure or worsen symptoms. This medication may cause psychological and physical dependence; therefore, the potential for dependency should be periodically assessed and managed during long-term use. Patients with impaired liver function must consult a doctor before taking this medication and must be cautious not to exceed recommended dosages. Particularly, patients with a fast-acting enzyme known as CYP2D6 may experience excessive accumulation of the active ingredient in the body, increasing the risk of respiratory depression; dosage adjustments or alternative medications may need to be considered in such cases. This medication should not be administered to children under 12 years old or to adolescents under 18 who have had specific surgeries, and adolescents aged 12 to 18 should avoid use if risk factors are present. This medication may cause sleep apnea and hypoxemia, so consideration should be given to reducing or discontinuing the dose if related symptoms are present or worsen. This medication may lead to hyponatremia, a reduction in sodium concentration in the blood, so regular blood tests are necessary for elderly patients or those with risk factors. Individuals with an allergy to any of this medication's components, central nervous system drug abuse, severe respiratory depression, severe hepatic or renal impairment, nursing mothers, and specific pediatric patients should not take this medication. While taking this medication, be aware that drowsiness or dizziness may occur during driving or operating machinery; these symptoms may be exacerbated when combined with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants. In case of overdose, serious side effects such as respiratory depression, seizures, and liver damage can occur, so strictly adhere to the prescribed dose and seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected. Care should be taken not to combine this medication with other acetaminophen-containing products to reduce the risk of liver damage, and the established dosages should not be exceeded. Abrupt discontinuation of this medication can result in withdrawal symptoms, hence the dosage should be gradually reduced per the physician's instructions. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant must consult a doctor before using this medication, and it should not be administered to nursing mothers. It is important to consult healthcare professionals immediately if any adverse reactions or discomfort symptoms occur during the course of this medication.
