Improvement of gastric ulcers and gastric mucosal lesions (erosions, bleeding, etc.)
This medicine is effective for the treatment of gastric ulcers and is used to improve lesions such as erosions, bleeding, redness, and edema of the gastric mucosa that appear during acute exacerbations of acute gastritis and chronic gastritis.
As rabeprazole, administer 100 mg orally three times a day. However, for gastric ulcers, it should be taken in the morning, evening, and before bedtime.
This medication should not be administered to patients who have had hypersensitivity reactions to its ingredients. During the course of treatment, serious allergic reactions similar to shock or anaphylaxis may rarely occur, so if such symptoms arise, treatment should be stopped immediately and appropriate medical attention should be sought. Furthermore, it may lead to a decrease in white blood cell or platelet counts, so blood conditions need to be monitored closely. Liver function may become impaired, resulting in jaundice or elevated liver enzyme levels; hence, it's important to check liver health. If skin reactions such as rashes, itching, or hives occur, this medication should also be discontinued. Symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, and numbness may occur, so caution is required when driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal symptoms like dry mouth, constipation, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur, warranting attention to these symptoms. Women who are pregnant or of childbearing age should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks since its safety during pregnancy has not been established. Women who are breastfeeding are advised to avoid this medication since it can be passed into breast milk. Safety has not been fully confirmed in children, especially those born with low birth weight or neonates, so it should be used with caution. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to adverse reactions, including gastrointestinal symptoms, due to decreased physiological functions, so caution is necessary. This medicine should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers is crucial for maintaining safety and quality.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medicine should be stored in a tightly sealed container that protects it from light and at a temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. Storing it this way helps maintain its effectiveness and prevents degradation.
