Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients with acute myocardial infarction or in those with severe initial injuries that have significant bleeding, and also in patients whose blood pressure is difficult to control due to orthostatic hypotension. Additionally, those with allergic reactions to this drug or those who have had hyperoxaluria or recurrent calcium kidney stones should avoid taking it. This drug is also inappropriate for patients with myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiac conduction disorders, severe angina, or hypotension. Patients with liver dysfunction or those who may experience seizures, as well as pregnant women or breastfeeding women, should also avoid taking this drug. Patients with diminished renal function or those with coronary artery disease should exercise special caution when using this drug and should strictly follow their doctor's instructions. This drug can cause neurological side effects such as seizures, sensory disturbances, anxiety, drowsiness, insomnia, headaches, and dizziness. In the gastrointestinal tract, adverse reactions may include loss of appetite, esophagitis, vomiting, stomach pain, and diarrhea; if discomfort persists, consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended. Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions such as rashes, hives, and angioedema may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms arise, treatment should be immediately discontinued, and a hospital visit is necessary. There is a potential risk for hepatic dysfunction, leading to hepatitis, jaundice, and hepatocellular damage, so care for liver health is important. In the kidneys, urinary disturbances or kidney stones may occur, so adequate hydration is required. Low blood pressure, arrhythmias, angina, syncope, and peripheral edema have also been reported, so symptoms should be observed carefully. This drug may increase blood sugar levels, so diabetes patients should manage their blood sugar levels rigorously. This drug is not used for the treatment of hypertension; it is important to drink plenty of water to prevent kidney stones. Taking this drug without any beverage at bedtime may cause esophagitis, so it must always be taken with water. When taken along with antihypertensive or antiarrhythmic medications, this drug's effects may be intensified, so it should be taken after consulting with a physician. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to use this drug for safety reasons. In the case of overdose, heart function deterioration and seizures may occur, necessitating immediate treatment at a medical facility, including possible drug detoxification and monitoring of heart and respiratory functions.
