Acute non-infectious conjunctivitis (edema, vascular congestion) and allergic keratitis, non-infectious inflammation of the anterior segment (such as anterior uveitis), and postoperative inflammation relief
This medication is effective for severe edema and vascular congestion associated with acute non-infectious conjunctivitis and allergic keratitis. It is also used to treat non-infectious inflammation of the anterior segment, including anterior uveitis, scleritis, and episcleritis. It helps relieve inflammation occurring after strabismus surgery or cataract and glaucoma surgery. It is used to alleviate inflammation and improve symptoms in various ophthalmic conditions.
Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 2-3 times a day. For the first 24-48 hours, instill 1 drop every hour.
This medication should not be used by individuals allergic to specific ingredients. It is safest for women who are pregnant or nursing to avoid this medication. Patients with eye infections or conditions such as glaucoma or dry eye should avoid using this medication. It should not be used if there is damage to the cornea or if there are viral or bacterial infections. It is advisable not to use this medication in children under the age of 2. Individuals with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, thyroid issues, diabetes, or other poor health conditions should use this medication cautiously. There may be interactions with other medications, so it is essential to consult a doctor if currently taking other medications. Using this medication may cause temporary eye irritation or congestion, and prolonged use may increase intraocular pressure, thus regular monitoring is necessary. Rarely, allergic reactions such as dermatitis or keratitis may occur. Long-term use may lead to serious side effects like cataract development or corneal damage. It is advisable to avoid wearing contact lenses during the use of this medication and to be cautious not to use it long-term. There may be blurred vision immediately after instillation, so driving or operating machinery should be avoided. Children or patients on specific medications are at higher risk for side effects; special caution is required. This medication should not be taken in conjunction with specific antidepressants or blood pressure medications as it may raise blood pressure. Before use, the bottle should be well shaken, and care must be taken to avoid contact between the bottle tip and the eye. After use, shared usage should be avoided to prevent contamination, and it should be stored in a cool, dry place out of reach of children. Severe symptoms may arise in cases of overdose, so immediate contact with a healthcare institution is necessary.
