Precautions

This drug contains sodium hyaluronate as the main ingredient and is primarily used after ophthalmic surgeries. This drug should not be administered to patients who have had allergic reactions to this ingredient or protein-based medications. Side effects may occur in the eyes, including a temporary increase in intraocular pressure or inflammation within the eye. Additionally, corneal swelling or clouding may occur, and there is a risk of bleeding or abnormalities in the iris region. Symptoms such as eye pain, itching, or vision deterioration may arise, so caution is necessary. When using this drug after surgery, it is essential to carefully monitor the intraocular pressure. If it increases, appropriate treatment must be administered. After surgery, it is advisable to clean or aspirate this drug as thoroughly as possible. If ultrasonic emulsification and aspiration are performed before surgery, care must be taken to ensure that the medication is evenly distributed within the eye through aspiration and perfusion. When cleaning surgical instruments, solutions containing quaternary ammonium compounds such as benzalkonium chloride should not be used. This drug is derived from avian cells, so potential immune reactions or other risks should be acknowledged. This drug should not be used in conjunction with hyaluronidase. For ophthalmic use only and must never be injected intravascularly. Before use, the refrigerated drug should be brought to room temperature by leaving it for about 30 minutes, and any remaining medication after opening should be discarded after one use. When mixing the drug with air, care must be taken to prevent air from entering under the iris, and administration should be done slowly and carefully. When injecting into the anterior chamber, caution must be taken to avoid excessive injection, as overdosing can lead to an increase in intraocular pressure. This drug should be kept out of the reach of children, stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
