Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not use if allergic to this medication or if you have severe liver impairment or certain hereditary angioedema conditions. Elderly patients, those with compromised kidney function, or patients with heart disease should exercise particular caution when using this medication and must frequently monitor blood pressure and electrolyte levels. This medication lowers blood pressure, which can lead to dizziness or fainting due to sudden drops in blood pressure, so caution is necessary during the initial dosage or when increasing the dose. Additionally, this medication may elevate blood potassium levels, so it should not be taken with potassium supplements or medications containing potassium. Patients at risk for hyperkalemia should have regular blood tests. While taking this medication, liver or kidney function abnormalities may occur, so any unusual symptoms should be reported to healthcare professionals immediately. Caution is required when driving or operating machinery due to potential dizziness while taking this medication. There may be interactions when taken with other antihypertensives, diuretics, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), so inform your doctor of all medications you are taking. In case of overdose, hypotension and cardiac abnormalities may occur; adhere to the prescribed dosage and seek immediate treatment if unusual symptoms appear. It is advisable not to use this medication in children or pediatric patients with low glomerular filtration rates, as there is insufficient safety data.
