Precautions

This medication should not be used if you are pregnant or suspect you might be pregnant. It should also not be used if there is an infection in the reproductive system, suspected cancer, abnormal uterine bleeding, or if the uterine structure is abnormal. Caution is needed if there is a history of pelvic inflammatory disease or thrombosis, or severe liver disease. Changes in bleeding patterns may occur while using this medication, and irregular bleeding or spotting is commonly seen initially. If pelvic pain, fever, or abnormal vaginal bleeding occurs, consult a physician immediately. This medication is an intrauterine device that can change position or expel partially after insertion, thus it needs regular position checks. If the threads are not felt or if there are suspicions of a positional abnormality, contact your healthcare provider. The risk of ectopic pregnancy may slightly increase, so if pregnancy is suspected, an evaluation must be conducted. This medication does not provide protection against infections; therefore, condom use is necessary for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. There may be potential interactions with certain medications, so inform your physician or pharmacist of any other medications you are taking. Regular check-ups and consultations are required during the use of this medication, and if abnormal symptoms appear, consult healthcare professionals immediately.
