This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to quinolone antibiotics. During use, shock symptoms such as nausea, cold extremities, and difficulty breathing may rarely occur; if these symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Additionally, hypersensitivity reactions may manifest as cardiovascular collapse, loss of consciousness, angioedema, difficulty breathing, skin rash, or itching, and use should be discontinued if these symptoms occur. Temporary burning, irritation, redness, itching, tearing, and blurred vision may occur; in rare cases, severe corneal injury or serious skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, so if any atypical symptoms appear, stop using the medication. Occasionally, hearing impairment or other irritation symptoms may also occur. Long-term use of this medication can lead to excessive growth of non-sensitive bacteria such as fungi, so it is advisable not to use it for long durations. To prevent the emergence of resistant bacteria, sensitivity to the infecting bacteria should be confirmed, and it should only be used for the minimum necessary duration. This medication has not been proven effective against Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA); if MRSA infection is suspected, or if symptoms do not improve, a switch to another stronger antibiotic should be made. Quinolone antibiotics can particularly increase the risk of tendonitis or tendon rupture in the elderly or when used with steroids; if such symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits are deemed to outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. If breastfeeding, either discontinue nursing or stop using the medication. Use is not recommended in infants under 1 year of age as safety and efficacy have not been confirmed. This medication is for ocular use only and care should be taken to avoid direct contact between the container opening and the eye during administration. Avoid sharing and it is safer to use individually to prevent contamination. When storing, keep out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool place. Also, do not transfer the medication to another container; it should be stored in the original container to prevent misuse and maintain quality.
