Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of endometrial cancer in postmenopausal women; therefore, women with a uterus must take additional progestogen as directed by their physician. It can also increase the risk of thromboembolic diseases such as thrombosis, so individuals with risk factors for thrombosis should consult their doctor thoroughly before use, and treatment should be discontinued immediately if any abnormal symptoms arise. If severe headaches or migraines worsen, or if there are sudden visual disturbances indicating signs of vascular obstruction, treatment should be stopped immediately. This medication should not be taken in cases of liver dysfunction, jaundice, hypertension, or during pregnancy, and if any of these symptoms occur, treatment should be stopped immediately. It should not be administered to patients with estrogen-dependent tumors, cardiovascular diseases, or a history of thromboembolic disease. Patients with severe liver, kidney, or heart diseases, or those with specific genetic disorders, should also avoid this medication. Pregnant or nursing mothers should not take this medication, and women who may become pregnant should confirm this before use. Regular physical examinations and gynecological check-ups should be conducted during the use of this medication, as the risks of breast cancer or endometrial cancer must be monitored. Additionally, this medication may interact with other drugs, so if any medications are being taken, it is essential to inform the doctor or pharmacist. In case of overdose, symptoms such as breast tenderness, anxiety, and nausea may occur, and dose reduction or symptomatic treatment may be required.
