Precautions

This medicine should not be used by individuals who are hypersensitive to salicylates. Women who are due to give birth within 4 weeks should also avoid this medication. Additionally, this product should be avoided on mucous membranes or open wounds. Individuals with allergies to any of the ingredients should refrain from use. Newborns and children should not use this medication over extensive skin areas for prolonged periods, and must consult a professional before use. Patients with compromised renal function should not use this medication extensively over long periods as it may be absorbed significantly through the skin, potentially causing toxicity symptoms. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should avoid prolonged use over extensive skin areas due to the risk of absorption through the skin leading to toxicity. Breastfeeding women should avoid applying it on the breast area as it may be transmitted to the baby through breast milk. If dermatitis or contact allergy symptoms occur while using this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Very high blood salicylate levels may lead to toxicity symptoms, with initial symptoms including tinnitus, nosebleeds, nausea, vomiting, itching, and dryness of the skin and mucous membranes. This medication must be used according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and should be supervised by a guardian when used on children. If symptoms do not improve after using for 5 to 6 days, discontinue use and consult a professional. Using in high concentrations over broad areas may increase toxicity of certain medications, and there is a heightened risk of bleeding when used with specific hypoglycemic agents or anticoagulants. This medication is for external use only and must be kept away from ingestion or contact with the eyes. If it gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek ophthalmic care if symptoms are severe. Applying to excessively broad areas should also be avoided. During storage, keep it out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight and moisture, and store in a cool place with the lid tightly closed. Do not transfer the medication from its original container to another, as this could prevent misuse or degradation in quality.
