Improvement of neuropathy and cardiac disorders related to vitamin B1 deficiency and metabolic disorders
This medication is used for the prevention and treatment of vitamin B1 deficiency. It is especially used to supplement the increased need for vitamin B1 in cases of debilitating diseases, hyperthyroidism, during pregnancy or lactation, and due to intense physical labor. It also aids in the treatment of Wernicke’s encephalopathy and beriberi heart disease. Additionally, it is used when vitamin B1 deficiency or metabolic disorders are suspected, such as neuropathy, myalgia, and peripheral neuritis; however, it is important not to use it without purpose for more than one month. This medication improves various symptoms caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.
As fursultiamine, usually 5 ~ 100 mg per day for adults is administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously. Adjustments should be made according to symptoms.
