This drug should not be used by patients with blood disorders, kidney or liver diseases, stomach or duodenal diseases, or immune system disorders such as asthma or rheumatism. Especially, patients undergoing treatment for stomach or duodenal diseases may be taking other medications similar to ranitidine, so caution should be exercised against duplicative use. Patients taking steroids, antibiotics, anticancer agents, or azole antifungals may experience blood abnormalities such as leukopenia or thrombocytopenia if this medication is used, so it should not be administered to them. Patients with a history of blood abnormalities like anemia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia should be cautious, as taking this medication may further decrease blood cell counts. Those with hypersensitivity to histamine H2-receptor antagonists should not take this medication due to the risk of allergic reactions. The safety of this medication has not been established in children, especially those under 15 years of age, and elderly patients over 80 years should use this medication cautiously due to the accumulation of the drug in the body from decreased kidney function, which may enhance its effects. Pregnant or potentially pregnant women, as well as nursing mothers, should avoid this medication as its safety has not been established, and it may be passed to breast milk. Patients undergoing dialysis treatment should also refrain from using this medication. Furthermore, this medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders should not take it. Patients receiving medical care or taking other medications should be aware that drug interactions may cause side effects or decrease effectiveness, so caution is advised. Those with a history of drug hypersensitivity should also be administered this medication cautiously. Patients experiencing infection symptoms such as sore throat, cough, or high fever, or unexplained weight loss and persistent abdominal pain should consult a physician before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, itching, swelling, vomiting, headache, dizziness, or muscle pain occur during treatment with this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and a healthcare professional should be consulted. If symptoms such as chest tightness, pallor, cold sweat, or shortness of breath occur, discontinue the medication immediately and consult with medical personnel. In cases of severe skin rash or mucosal damage along with high fever, or symptoms such as sore throat, fever, or easy bleeding, the medication should be discontinued immediately. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for more than three days, it may indicate another condition, and medical consultation is required. Do not take this medication for longer than two weeks, and avoid alcoholic beverages during treatment. In case of exceeding the recommended dosage, discontinue use immediately and consult with a professional. Taking this medication with other gastrointestinal medications may worsen side effects, so it should not be taken simultaneously, and interactions with specific antibiotics may also occur, so caution is needed.
