Relief of acute non-infectious conjunctivitis (edema, hyperemia) and anterior segment inflammation (such as anterior uveitis) and post-surgical inflammation
This medication is effective for acute non-infectious conjunctivitis with severe edema and hyperemia, as well as allergic keratitis. It is also used in the treatment of non-infectious inflammation of the anterior segment, including anterior uveitis, episcleritis, and scleritis. It helps relieve inflammation following strabismus surgery, cataract surgery, and glaucoma surgery. In summary, it is used for various non-infectious inflammatory conditions around the eyes, reducing inflammation and edema to improve symptoms.
Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 2-3 times a day. For adults, during the first 24-48 hours, instill 1 drop every hour.
This medication is for use in the eyes, and it is very important not to use it if you have certain diseases or conditions. Individuals allergic to this medication's components must not use it. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also avoid using this medication. Those with infectious keratitis or conjunctivitis may see their symptoms worsen with this medication. Glaucoma patients or those with severe dry eyes, especially individuals with Sjögren's syndrome, should avoid using this medication. Users with corneal damage, corneal ulcers, viral infections, bacterial infections, or fungal infections should also refrain from using it. This medication is not to be used in infants under 2 years old. Additionally, individuals with metabolic diseases such as heart disease, hypertension, thyroid dysfunction, and diabetes should use this medication cautiously. Particularly, patients taking medications that can affect blood pressure should consult their doctor before use. Caution is also needed for those who have a history of cataracts or herpes simplex infections. Those with vasomotor rhinitis and children should also use this medication with caution. This medication may cause temporary eye irritation, and prolonged use can lead to elevated intraocular pressure or eye hyperemia. Rarely, allergic reactions such as periorbital dermatitis or keratitis may occur. Long-term use may result in serious side effects such as cataracts, corneal damage, or fungal infections, so regular checks of intraocular pressure are necessary. During treatment, it is advisable to avoid wearing soft contact lenses, and if used for more than 2-3 days, intraocular pressure and systemic side effects should be monitored regularly, as well as the risk of secondary infections. This medication may conceal or worsen eye infections, so if any symptoms of infection occur, use should be stopped and a doctor consulted. It may temporarily blur vision after instillation, so it is safest to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. Using this medication alongside drugs that can elevate blood pressure may be dangerous, as combining it with certain medications can increase the risk of systemic side effects, so it must be discussed with healthcare professionals. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently established in children, and systemic side effects may occur, so it should be used cautiously. In case of overdose, serious symptoms may occur, so you should contact a medical institution immediately. Before use, the solution should be well shaken, and it should be used only for instillation, ensuring that the tip of the bottle does not come into direct contact with the eye. Shared use can pose a risk of infection, so it is best to avoid it. During storage, keep it out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store it in a cool, dry place. Additionally, to maintain the quality of the drug, it is important not to transfer it to another container.
