This medication is used to prevent and treat various health problems caused by vitamin B1 deficiency. For instance, it helps improve Wernicke's encephalopathy or beriberi heart disease that can occur when there is a lack of vitamin B1. Additionally, it is used to supplement when vitamin B1 demand increases due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, or intense physical labor, where food intake alone may be insufficient. It may also help relieve various symptoms caused by vitamin B1 deficiency or metabolic abnormalities such as neuralgia, peripheral neuritis, myalgia, and arthralgia. However, it should be used with caution and not for a prolonged period without purpose. This drug effectively treats symptoms caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.
