This medication can cause severe harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters; therefore, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take it. If pregnancy is confirmed, this medication should be discontinued as soon as possible, and regular ultrasound examinations may be required to monitor the health of the fetus. This medication should not be administered to patients with severely impaired liver function or hereditary angioedema, or primary hyperaldosteronism. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance should avoid it. Caution is required when administering to elderly patients, those with decreased kidney function, and patients with hyperkalemia, as there is a risk of rapid drops in blood pressure, and careful monitoring is necessary. Blood pressure, serum potassium levels, and kidney function should be regularly tested during treatment, and if any unusual symptoms occur, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is advised. Particularly, when taken together with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements, the potassium levels in the blood may dangerously increase, so combination therapy should be avoided. This medication may rarely cause side effects such as angioedema, hepatitis, muscle pain, hypotension, or renal failure, and if symptoms are suspected, immediate treatment is required. Dizziness or orthostatic hypotension may occur during treatment, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Additionally, interactions may occur when taken with other antihypertensive medications or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), so it is essential to inform healthcare professionals of any other medications being taken. Grapefruit juice may decrease the effectiveness of this medication, so it is advisable to avoid consuming it together. This medication is not recommended for breastfeeding women; if it must be taken, stopping breastfeeding is advisable. It should not be administered to children under 6 years of age or to children and adolescents with severe kidney impairment. In the case of overdose, hypotension and bradycardia may occur, so it is important to strictly adhere to the dosing schedule and inform healthcare professionals of any unusual symptoms immediately. Keep this medication out of the reach of children and do not transfer it to another container for safety.
