Adult dosage
This medication should be taken with liquids such as water and must not be chewed or crushed. Patients who find it difficult to swallow capsules may open the capsule and take the contents mixed in half a cup of non-carbonated water. The method of administration using a gastrointestinal tube involves opening the capsule into a suitable syringe, adding about 50 mL of water, and immediately shaking the syringe vigorously for about 15 seconds. Ensure the syringe tip is pointed upwards to verify it is not blocked.
Children's dosage
Adolescents over 12 years of age should be administered the same as adults: - Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: 40 mg once daily for 4 weeks. - Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms without esophagitis

This medicine is used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, particularly erosive reflux esophagitis, and for long-term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence in patients. It also helps in the treatment and prevention of recurrence in patients with duodenal ulcers and peptic ulcers infected with Helicobacter pylori. It is effective for short-term treatment of gastrointestinal symptoms that may occur with the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and is also used for the treatment and prophylaxis of gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers. It is suitable for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and is used as maintenance therapy after preventing rebleeding due to gastric or duodenal ulcers. Thus, it is widely used for various gastrointestinal diseases and symptoms.
