This medication is used for the treatment of myocardial ischemia caused by hypertension and stable or variant angina, a type of coronary artery disease. It also helps reduce the risk of hospitalization due to angina in patients without heart failure or with an ejection fraction of 40% or more. It is effective in decreasing risks that may occur after coronary artery revascularization. This drug works by dilating blood vessels and improving blood flow, thereby supporting heart health. Overall, it is used for managing and improving the prognosis of cardiovascular diseases.
