Efficacy & effects

Improvement and supportive treatment of blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes

  • Blood sugar control issues in patients with type 2 diabetes
View approved original text

This drug is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It may be administered alone, and if there is no improvement in blood sugar after using other oral hypoglycemics, it can be used in combination with sulfonylureas, metformin, or insulin. Nutritional counseling, weight loss, and exercise are also important for patients with type 2 diabetes, which greatly aids in maintaining the effects of pharmacotherapy, as well as initial treatment. Therefore, this drug is used to effectively improve blood sugar control.
