This medication is used to treat skin fungal infections. It is particularly effective against tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea corporis, tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea barbae, and tinea versicolor. These conditions can cause itching or inflammation of the skin, and this medicine alleviates the symptoms and treats the infection. Therefore, it is used to improve issues related to skin fungal infections.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply once daily to the affected area (site of infection).

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients with an allergy to its ingredients. Patients sensitive to allylamine antifungals should use this medication with caution, as cross-reactivity may occur. While using, skin irritation, redness, itching, rash, blistering, or skin damage may arise, and if these symptoms occur, use should be stopped immediately and appropriate treatment should be sought. When applying, ensure the infected area is cleaned and completely dried before application, and avoid contact with mucous membranes like the eyes, nose, and mouth. Do not use occlusive dressings or other packaging methods without a doctor's instruction, and do not use for indications not approved. If there is no response to this medication, the possibility of fungal infection should be re-evaluated and alternative treatment methods should be considered. This product contains sodium benzoate, which may cause mild irritation to the skin, eyes, or mucous membranes. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, and caution should be exercised during breastfeeding as well. It should be avoided in premature infants, newborns, and children under 12 years old, as safety and efficacy have not been established in these groups.
