Treatment of tinea pedis caused by dermatophytes
This medication is used for the treatment of skin infections caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton, Microsporum canis, Epidermophyton floccosum. It is specifically used for skin conditions like tinea pedis, commonly known as athlete's foot. It is applicable to adolescents aged 15 and older and adults. It helps improve fungal infections of the skin and alleviate itching and inflammation.
This medication is to be applied only once. Before application, wash both feet and hands thoroughly and completely dry them. Apply a sufficient amount to soak the affected area and surrounding skin adequately. To ensure complete treatment of the fungus, apply to both feet, even on the side without visible lesions. Apply a thin layer between the toes and to the entire sole of the foot, extending about 1.5 cm up from the base, and allow it to dry until a film forms.
This medication contains the active ingredient terbinafine and is used for the treatment of skin fungal infections. Do not use this medication if you have experienced allergies or hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any ingredients in this medication. Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are nursing should consult a physician before using this medication. If a nursing mother uses this medication, it may be excreted in breast milk, so care should be taken to avoid contact between the newborn or infant and the treated area. Children under the age of 15 should not use this medication as its safety and effectiveness have not been adequately established. Elderly individuals can use this without special dose adjustments, but caution is necessary if they have skin lesions that can be irritated by alcohol. If excessive skin irritation or worsened symptoms occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a professional. Some users may experience allergic reactions like dry skin, irritation, burning sensation, rash, itching, blisters, or hives, so caution is advised. Do not use occlusive dressings or packaging without a doctor's instruction, and if no improvement is seen, reevaluate the fungal infection. Due to the presence of alcohol such as ethanol, irritation may occur if used on mucous membranes; use with care. If applied to wound areas or large areas, be cautious as the medication may be absorbed systemically. This medication should only be used externally and should not be applied to the face, eyes, nails, scalp, around the mouth, or genital areas. If it gets in the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, and if an allergic reaction occurs, appropriately remove the medication and clean the skin. It is advisable to avoid applying other medications to the area where this medication was used. This medication does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery. While serious problems are unlikely to occur with overdose, if a large amount is accidentally ingested, symptoms such as headache, nausea, and dizziness may appear, and medical attention should be sought immediately. Store this medication out of reach of children and away from fire, keeping it in a cool place at temperatures between 15°C and 30°C.
