This medication is used for various dry and inflammatory skin diseases including progressive keratodermia, palmar and plantar keratodermia, tinea, senile xerosis, keratosis pilaris, and atopic dermatitis.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

1 to several times a day (multiple times), wash the affected area, then apply this medication and rub it in well.

Precautions

This medication should not be used on mucous membranes such as the eyes or mouth. Individuals allergic to any ingredients in this medication should avoid its use. It is advisable not to apply this medication on skin with acute eczema or inflammation. Patients with impaired kidney function should be cautious when applying this medication over large areas. When used on inflamed or cracked skin, temporary irritation may occur, so it should be used carefully. Individuals with sensitive skin should also be cautious as temporary irritation symptoms may appear. While applying this medication, sensations of pain, warmth, redness, or itching may occur and are more likely to appear upon first use. If any allergic reactions occur, use should be stopped immediately. If symptoms such as increased dryness, cracking, pinching, burning, swelling become worse, use should be stopped and a healthcare professional consulted. This medication may increase the skin absorption of corticosteroids or other specific drugs, so caution is needed when used together. This medication is for external use only and should not be applied directly to wounds or ulcerated areas. Care should be taken to avoid contact with mucous membranes like the eyes, nose, or mouth; if contact occurs with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water. After use, store it in a safe place out of reach of children.
