Adult dose

Small tablet: Usually, adults take 10 to 14 tablets 3 times a day after meals with water or water infused with the root of the Korean onion. Large tablet: Usually, adults take 1.5 to 2 tablets 3 times a day after meals with water or water infused with the root of the Korean onion.

This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Patients with severely weakened physical condition, hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, or edema should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Elderly individuals may require dosage adjustments due to decreased body function and should be monitored closely. Those with weak stomachs may experience decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, and should exercise caution. Patients who sweat excessively, those with hyperthyroidism, or those with urinary disorders should also consult with a professional before taking this medication. Diabetic patients should be particularly careful as blood sugar levels may rise. Safety has not been established for children; therefore, they should avoid taking this medication due to limited use experience. If symptoms such as swelling of the face or extremities, or increased blood pressure occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and a healthcare professional should be consulted. If symptoms of muscle weakness or limb cramping occur, one should also stop taking the medication and consult a professional. If side effects such as decreased appetite, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, urinary disorders, insomnia, excessive sweating, palpitations, general weakness, or rash occur, discontinue use immediately. It is essential to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and method of administration, and caution is advised when taken in conjunction with other medications containing potassium or licorice, as this can lead to hypokalemia or muscle abnormalities. When used with other herbal medicines, care must be taken to avoid overlapping herbal ingredients. Long-term use should be avoided, and if absolutely necessary, consultation with a healthcare professional is required. When taken with Mahwang, ephedrine, thyroid medications, catecholamines, etc., symptoms such as insomnia, rapid heart rate, or excessive sweating may occur, so caution is advised. It is best to avoid hot food for one hour after taking this medication. Patients with gastric ulcers or hyperacidity should take this medication with caution and adjust the dosage as needed. This medication should be stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and kept out of reach of children. Transferring the medication to another container from its original packaging can lead to degradation of quality or misuse, so it must be stored in its original container.

Serious side effects

• Decreased urine output, swelling of the face and extremities (edema), eyelid heaviness, hand stiffness, increased blood pressure, headache.
• Symptoms of myopathy: weakness, limb cramping, paralysis.

Mild side effects

• Decreased appetite, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive sweating, general weakness, insomnia, rapid heartbeat, frequent urination, palpitations, mental agitation, rash, etc.
• There is a possibility of increased blood pressure and worsening of edema during use.

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. It is recommended to maintain a storage temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature.
