Precautions

This medicine may burden the liver; therefore, individuals who consume a lot of alcohol daily must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. Additionally, very rarely, serious rashes or allergic reactions may occur on the skin; if a rash or hypersensitivity reaction occurs after taking the medication, stop immediately and consult a medical professional. This medicine contains tramadol, which may increase the risk of seizures if taken with certain antidepressants or other central nervous system drugs, so caution is advised. Patients with severe respiratory conditions are at risk of respiratory suppression; thus, these patients should only use this medication in an environment where a medical professional can respond immediately. Taking this medication with central nervous system depressants or alcohol may cause severe drowsiness, respiratory depression, and coma; hence, coadministration should be avoided, and if necessary, should only be done at the smallest dose for a short period. Care should be taken as symptoms may worsen for patients with head injuries or increased intracranial pressure when taking this medicine. This medication can lead to dependence, so long-term use requires monitoring by a healthcare professional for signs of dependence or abuse. Patients with compromised liver or kidney function must consult a doctor before taking this medication, as dosage adjustments may be necessary. Especially, this medication is not to be used in children under 12 or in teenagers under 18 who have undergone tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy. If pregnant or breastfeeding, this medication may affect the fetus or newborn, so it must be taken only after consulting a doctor. Caution is needed while driving or operating machinery as drowsiness or dizziness may occur; it should not be taken with alcohol. In cases of overdose, severe respiratory depression, seizures, liver injury, etc. may occur, so do not exceed the recommended dose and contact a medical professional immediately if any abnormal symptoms appear. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and it is important to keep it in a place inaccessible to others to prevent misuse or abuse.
