Special caution is needed when used in children or the elderly to avoid glass shards entering. This medication contains components extracted from human placenta, and while infection screening is thoroughly conducted during placental collection, the risk of infection cannot be completely eliminated. Therefore, this medication should only be used when absolutely necessary, and the need for treatment should be carefully considered. Additionally, the benzyl alcohol component in this medication can cause serious respiratory problems in premature infants, so it should not be used in neonates or preterm infants. Pain or redness at the injection site may occur, and rarely breast pain or gynecomastia may manifest; use should be stopped if these symptoms occur. It is important to provide patients with thorough explanations and obtain their understanding regarding the risk of infection when using this medication. When used as a subcutaneous injection, injection sites should be carefully chosen to avoid areas where nerves pass. It is advisable not to inject repeatedly in the same area, but to alternate between the left and right sides. If there is severe pain during injection or blood reflux, the needle should be removed immediately, and the injection should be done in another area.
