This medicine is used for the treatment of male pattern hair loss, specifically androgenetic alopecia, in adult men, particularly those aged 18 to 41. Male pattern hair loss refers to hair loss that is primarily caused by the influence of male hormones. This drug helps slow down the progression of hair loss and improve the environment for hair growth. With consistent use, it can alleviate the symptoms of hair loss and lead to healthier hair. Therefore, this drug is effective for treating male pattern hair loss.

How to take

Adult dose

Generally, finasteride is administered orally at a dose of 1 mg once daily, and it can be taken with or without food. Typically, treatment effects can be observed after 3 months or more of use, and it is recommended to continue taking it to maintain the treatment effect.

Precautions

This medicine should not be administered to pediatric patients or women. In particular, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant should avoid even touching broken pieces of this medication, as the drug can be absorbed through the skin, posing a risk to male fetuses.
