In children, it is effective in treating habitual vomiting and non-infectious gastrointestinal passage disorders like constipation and diarrhea. How to take

Adult dose

Administer 100-200 mg of Trimebutine Maleate orally three times a day before meals. Adjust dosage as appropriate according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication may affect the gastrointestinal tract and can rarely cause constipation, diarrhea, borborygmi (stomach noises), nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, dry mouth, or a sensation of numbness in the mouth. Additionally, symptoms of rapid heartbeat can rarely occur, so caution is necessary. Mentally, symptoms such as fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headaches can rarely arise. Since it may affect liver function, there is a possibility of elevated liver enzyme levels, so liver health should be monitored. Allergic reactions can manifest as a skin rash, and if such symptoms appear, medication should be stopped immediately. As the safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been fully confirmed, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication only if the benefits outweigh the risks. Breastfeeding women should ideally avoid this medication, and if it must be taken, it is advisable to discontinue breastfeeding.
