Prevention of vitamin B1 deficiency and improvement of neurological conditions (neuralgia, peripheral neuritis).
This medication is used to prevent and treat vitamin B1 deficiency. It is particularly helpful when food intake is insufficient, for example, in cases of wasting diseases, hyperthyroidism, pregnancy and lactation, and intense physical labor. It is also effective for neurological and cardiac-related disorders such as Wernicke's encephalopathy and beriberi heart disease. Additionally, it is used for symptoms related to vitamin B1 deficiency or metabolic disorders such as neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, peripheral neuritis, peripheral nerve paralysis, myocardial metabolic disorders, and postoperative intestinal paralysis. It is important not to use it unnecessarily for long periods if no effect is observed. It supplies vitamin B1 to various conditions and improves symptoms.
As fursultiamine, the usual dose for adults is 5 to 100 mg per day administered by subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intravenous injection. The dosage should be appropriately adjusted according to symptoms.
