Precautions

It is advisable not to use this medication until the patient has fully recovered from sunburn. Those allergic to this medication or any of its components, as well as pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, should avoid using this medication. Do not use on damaged skin, sunburn areas, areas with eczema or seborrheic dermatitis, or in cases of severe acne. Individuals who are usually exposed to sunlight or are sensitive to sunlight should be cautious as skin irritation may occur during the use of this medication. This medication contains an ingredient called propylene glycol, so caution is advised if allergic to this component. Skin may become dry, and symptoms such as irritation, burning sensation, and redness may appear during use. These symptoms typically occur most frequently within 2 to 4 weeks after starting treatment, but may gradually decrease with continued use. If severe skin irritation or allergic reaction occurs, reduce the frequency of application or temporarily discontinue use, and it can be resumed once symptoms improve. During treatment, it is important to avoid exposure to sunlight or artificial ultraviolet rays; if unavoidable, using sunscreen and protective clothing such as hats is important. Increasing the dosage of this medication will not lead to faster effects and may actually worsen skin irritation. After using other exfoliating treatments, this medication should only be used once the skin irritation has fully recovered. Once symptoms improve, it is advisable to discontinue use and not to continue long-term use. Avoid hair removal methods such as electrolysis, waxing, or chemical depilatories on areas where this medication is applied. This medication is minimally absorbed by the skin, making the possibility of interactions with systemic medications low; however, it is recommended to avoid using it with other retinoid medications. It may be combined with other topical acne treatments at different times, but it is advisable not to use it with strong irritants such as harsh cleansers or products containing alcohol. This medication should not be used during pregnancy, and if pregnancy is confirmed, it should be discontinued immediately. If breastfeeding, caution should be taken not to apply it to the breast area, as it is unclear whether this medication passes into breast milk. Its safety and efficacy have not been established for children under 12 years of age, so use is not recommended. In case of overdose, emergency measures such as gastric lavage may be necessary, so caution is advised. This medication is for external use only and should be avoided in contact with the mucous membranes such as the eyes, mouth, and nose; if contact occurs, rinse immediately with clean water. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to other containers for safety. When using this medication or similar products, exposure to sunlight or artificial ultraviolet rays may increase the risk of skin cancer, so it is important to minimize UV exposure.
